Visitors to Silver City are always surprised by the excellence of our downtown restaurants. Located within seven blocks along the main street, each one is different and they all offer delicious and creative menus. No chain restaurants here.

First at the end of the street is Silver City’s favorite “adopted” son – Rob Connoley. He has been recognized by Saveur magazine and garnered a 2014 James Beard Semi-Fianlist Award as well as appearing on the cover of NM AAA magazine. At the Curious Kumquat, Rob produces wonderful meals from local sources and foraged vegetation. His culinary masterpiece sare always a delight to behold and consume. His menu is small and constantly changing so call ahead to make sure that one of the five entrees is for you. Whle reserving a table, one might also reserve your dinner choice, just to be sure.

Moving on down Bullard one finds a different dining experience provided by Shevek & Co. Here there is an extensive menu with dishes from the Mediterranean area of the world. Countries represented on the menu include Turkey, Italy, North Africa and Portugal to name just some of the possibilities. There are lots of choices but take comfort in the fact the all menu items are served tapa sized. One can enjoy many good tastes without overindulging. I highly recommend his patés and bisques.

In the next block is Diane’s Restaurant, a long-time favorite of the locals. Here the menu is upscale American with delicious steaks, meatloaf and chicken or shrimp dishes. There are great pastas and even a Thai curry to spice things up. At Diane’s one can always count on exceptional food and service. Many evenings local musicians provide entertainment.

A relative newcomer is Tre Rosat. They offer an eclectic menu with interesting appetizers such as bacon wrapped dates and pork belly tacos. Their burger menus includes a duck burger, a lamb burger and a veggie burger as well as the usual beef burger. They also offer gourmet pizzas and dinner entrees of steak, pork or seafood. A great place for a glass of wine and a relaxing laid back meal.

Just arrived at the corner of Bullard and Broadway this winter is Little Toad Creek Brewery and DIstillery. They have a distillery and brewery license so can offer their own vodka, rum and beer. Their pub menu has interesting items such as Scotch Eggs, Toad Balls and NM Irish Nachos as well as sandwiches and salads. This eatery is known for hostig musicians and fun events.

All of these fabulous restaurants are within easy walking distance of the Inn on Broadway, a Bed and Breakfast, known for its wonderful breakfasts.

Calling all those who enjoy discovering incredible places to eat. Come to Silver City, NM
