Silver City is located
in southwest New Mexico. It was founded in the 1880s as a mining
town. It is the gateway to the Gila National Forest, which has 3.3
million acres of recreational opportunities. Silver City is 3 hours
from Tucson, AZ and 2 ½ hours from Las, Cruces, NM.
From Lordsburg on
Route 90
Follow Route 90 into town. After passing The Hudson Plaza on your
left, at the next light (Visitors' Center on the corner) turn left
on Broadway. Go up Broadway for 4 1/2 blocks. The Inn on Broadway is
on the corner of Broadway and Bayard at 411 W. Broadway.
From Deming on
Route 180
Follow Route 180 into town, passing WalMart on your right. At the
fourth light after the WalMart light, turn left on Route 90 (Hudson
Street). At the third light, the Visitors' Center is on the right,
turn right onto Broadway. Go up Broadway for 4 1/2 blocks. The Inn
on Broadway is on the left at the corner of Broadway and Bayard at
411 W. Broadway.
From Cliff and
Glenwood on Route 180
Following the signs for Route 90 and The Visitors' Center turn right
at Hudson Street. At the third light, the Visitors' Center is on the
right, turn right onto Broadway. Go up Broadway for 4 1/2 blocks.
The Inn on Broadway is on the left at the corner of Broadway and
Bayard at 411 W. Broadway.
